GIS Technical Specialist
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Seeking for a GIS Technical Specialist in maintaining and updating GIS data for routing, traffic operations, and incident response.
- Maintain GIS data by editing geometry, events, and attributes.
- Perform QA/QC checks for data accuracy.
- Create and update maps, dashboards, and GIS tools.
- Collaborate with staff to understand requests and document requirements.
- Write basic Arcade code for mapping and queries.
- Support ETL processes with guidance from senior staff.
- Attend meetings to understand operational needs and support GIS solutions.
- Provide general GIS support and troubleshoot issues.
Must-Have Skills:
- 4 years of experience with ArcGIS Pro.
- 4 years of experience with ArcGIS Online Administration, Web Mapping, and Cartography.
- 2 years of experience with Survey123, Field Maps, and Experience Builder.
- Strong communication skills to translate non-GIS requests to GIS outcomes.
Desired Skills:
- 2 years of experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Administration & Server Management.
- 2 years of experience with Arcade & Python Scripting.
- 2 years of experience in GIS for Public Safety.
