Job Description
JOB TITLE: Glass Technician
DEPARTMENT: Glass department
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt (hourly)
Position Summary: Cut and/or insulate glass; make and install metal grids in glass; perform sandblasting.
Essential Functions:
Perform department functions listed above
- Responsible for quality of product
- Responsible for preventative maintenance when assigned by department leader
- Work overtime when required to meet customer commitments
- Keep work area clean and organized
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. is a plus
- Experience progression:
- Cut and insulate rectangular pieces
- Sandblasting
- Cut and insulate curved pieces
- Gridwork
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Math skills sufficient for the following:
- Development and use of jigs
- Ability to use templates
- Ability to read shop order
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of Glass Safety

- Safety glasses
