The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the Biotechnology industry that is looking to hire Glassware Specialist in Tarrytown, NY.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated
Glassware – Inventory Specialist to provide essential laboratory support within a dynamic laboratory services environment. This role supports centralized glassware and plasticware services, including collection of used laboratory items, processing through established cleaning and sanitization procedures, inspection, inventory management, and delivery of clean materials to designated laboratory areas.
Additional Details:Pay range: $20 - $25/hour on W2 as per your experience Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware while following established handling and contamination-control procedures.
- Safely handle, transport, and process contaminated and non-contaminated laboratory items according to approved procedures.
- Operate glassware washers, dry-heat sterilizers, ultrasonic baths, and other laboratory support equipment following training.
- Prepare glassware, caps, and related items for cleaning and sanitization.
- Visually inspect processed glassware for cleanliness, residue, damage, and structural defects before release.
- Maintain equipment logs, temperature chart records, inventory records, and other required documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Perform routine inspections and operational checks of glassware processing equipment.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including monthly de-scaling and basic preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor glassware and laboratory supply inventory levels and report shortages or deficiencies to the team lead.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant glassware processing and storage areas.
- Follow all applicable health, safety, environmental, security, and operational procedures.
- Identify and promptly report safety, equipment, inventory, or operational concerns.
- Complete required training within established timelines.
- Mentor and train new team members as assigned.
- Support process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the team lead.
- Work closely with laboratory support teams to ensure timely and consistent service delivery.
- Cross-train and provide backup support for other laboratory support functions as needed.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; OR
- Associate's degree in a scientific discipline with 2 or more years of relevant laboratory or operational experience; OR
- High School diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or related operational environment.
