Glenview Concert Band Driver

JOB SUMMARY

The Glenview Concert Band is seeking a part-time driver to transport band equipment to and from concert performances. This position involves picking up and returning a rented box truck, transporting equipment between Glenbrook South High School and concert locations, and assisting with loading and unloading equipment as needed. The Glenview Concert Band Driver is responsible for performing the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Pick up and return the rented box truck from the designated U-Haul location.
• Meet band members at Glenbrook South High School to load equipment.
• Transport band equipment to concert locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
• Return equipment to Glenbrook South High School following performances.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with band members and staff.
• Follow District safety procedures and report any safety concerns.
• Work a varied schedule, including some evenings and weekends based on the concert schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Truck driving experience preferred, including experience operating box trucks.
• Certifications / Memberships: None.
• Licenses: Valid Illinois driver's license required.

SCHEDULING & PAY

• This is a year-round part-time with an anticipated start date of 10/1/2026.
• Starting pay is $16 per hour.
• May include nights and weekends.
• Shift times may vary based on performance schedule.
