Industrial technology company in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Global Category Manager - Engineering Services to join their team.
Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 + bonus eligibility DIRECT HIRE
What You'll Do
The ideal candidate will own/lead the engineering services category including:
- Create strategies for engineering services incuding governance and supplier model
- Evaluate services based on business need, risk, and cost impact
- Develop consistent processes for how services are requested, approved, and managed
- Work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to shift non-core work to outside vendors
- Define clear expectations for vendor performance and service delivery
- Reduce unmanaged and off-contract spending across the organization
- Build and oversee a portfolio of service vendors aligned with company needs
- Hold vendors accountable through regular reviews and performance metrics
- Negotiate and manage service contracts in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Compliance
- Ensure contracts protect the company from operational, financial, and regulatory risk
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management, with a focus on indirect categories and/or services
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage vendor relationships at a global level
- 20% travel required
