Tesla s mission is to build a world of amazing abundance, and Tesla Energy plays a critical role. We are seeking an experienced Global Content Manager - Residential Energy Software, with a strong background in product marketing and digital storytelling, to lead content efforts for Tesla s residential energy software ecosystem. This role will focus on driving awareness, education, and adoption of the Tesla app s energy management capabilities, Powerwall software features, and emerging platform services such as Tesla Home, Opticaster, Storm Watch, Charge on Solar, Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), Tesla Electric and other energy optimization features.

The Global Content Manager will own the content strategy, messaging, and execution for these software experiences worldwide while emphasizing their role in energy independence, intelligent home automation, cost optimization through dynamic grid arbitrage, and deep integration across Tesla s product ecosystem (vehicles, Powerwall, solar, app). You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, software, sales, creative, and regional teams to accelerate adoption and position Tesla as the leader in residential energy intelligence.

  • Manage product marketing content and creative roadmap - including collaborating with product team and regional leads on naming, value propositions, and global campaigns
  • Create compelling content at scale including sales tools, installer material, learn articles, product videos, in-app pop ups, and homeowner-facing assets that clearly communicates integrated software features such as energy optimization modes, backup automation, VPP participation, and real-time monitoring
  • Develop and execute comprehensive global content programs and campaigns to drive awareness, education, and adoption of software features across the Tesla app, Powerwall firmware, and energy platform services
  • Lead cross-functional go-to-market content launches for software releases and feature updates, including release communications, in-app education flows, campaign planning, and sales enablement materials for installers and energy advisors
  • Partner with regional teams to localize and adapt content for key markets (North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific), ensuring messaging reflects local utility rate structures, grid regulations, and homeowner incentive programs
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify opportunities in key regions (e.g., North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific)
  • Analyze performance metrics, customer feedback, and sales data to provide insights for stakeholders, iterate on strategies and inform product roadmaps
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in energy, tech, AI, consumer software, or connected hardware/software platforms
  • Proven track record of producing and launching content for software products or digital experiences globally, with a strong understanding of energy markets, home energy management, and emerging grid technologies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting both technical and consumer-friendly messaging for diverse audiences (homeowners, solar installers, utility partners)
  • Deep understanding of software product lifecycles, agile release cycles, and the unique content challenges of marketing features
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in content analytics tools, A/B testing, and ROI measurement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strong bias for action
  • Passion for sustainable energy, software innovation, and Tesla s mission
