Job Responsibilities:

The Global Director, Information Technology is responsible for strengthening the strategic partnership between Global IT and the Group and its Divisions, while maximizing the business value realized from IT and OT assets, investments, and capabilities.

The role requires a strong understanding of Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), and the strategic, operational, and financial priorities of the Group and its Divisions. This understanding enables the Global Director to anticipate and identify business needs, translate them into technology requirements, and champion solutions that improve business performance, operational effectiveness, and competitive advantage.

To maintain close alignment with the business globally, the Global Director provides direction to and works through Regional Business Relationship Managers, who serve as key liaisons with divisional and regional stakeholders. Together, they ensure that business requirements and regional technology needs are understood, prioritized, aligned with global strategy, and effectively addressed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a strategic business partner, relationship-management leader, and critical thinker, the Global Director, Information Technology will:

  • Develop and oversee the Group's IT and OT strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the Group's business strategy, operational priorities, and Global IT direction.
  • Establish and execute a business relationship-management strategy that strengthens collaboration among Global IT, the Group, its Divisions, and regional stakeholders.
  • Partner with Group and Division leaders to understand strategic, operational, financial, and technology requirements and translate them into prioritized technology initiatives and solutions.
  • Oversee technology planning for major business initiatives, including new programs, facility launches, acquisitions, integrations, operational transformations, and other significant business changes.
  • Provide business oversight and governance for the implementation of technology solutions across the Divisions, including enterprise resource planning systems, manufacturing execution systems, Industry 4.0 technologies, infrastructure, data and analytics solutions, and cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Ensure technology initiatives are supported by clear business cases, implementation plans, budgets, resource requirements, risk assessments, and measurable benefits, with appropriate attention to total cost of ownership, operational readiness, and value realization.
  • Promote the availability, reliability, resilience, security, and performance of technology services by working with Global IT and service providers to establish appropriate service levels, monitor performance, address recurring issues, and support business-continuity requirements.
  • Partner with Group functional leaders to identify and implement technology-enabled opportunities that improve productivity, strengthen controls, enhance decision-making, reduce complexity, and optimize overhead costs.
  • Manage and govern demand for IT and OT projects and services, aligning Group, Division, and regional requirements with the Global IT portfolio and prioritizing investments based on strategic value, business benefits, risk, urgency, and cost.
  • Oversee the technology infrastructure portfolio for the Group, monitoring status, costs, risks, benefits, and delivery performance and escalating material deviations when necessary.
