With a strong three-year growth trajectory aimed at doubling revenue and improving operating margins, this role will be critical in building a scalable, high-performance operational infrastructure.

Description



Global Operations Leadership

  • Lead and scale global operations, ensuring alignment with growth and profitability objectives
  • Establish and standardize operating models to improve execution and performance consistency
  • Own operational KPIs including cost, delivery, quality, and efficiency
  • Drive adoption of Lean Manufacturing and 80/20 methodologies


Margin Improvement & Operational Efficiency

  • Improve operating margins through automation, labor optimization, and process redesign
  • Identify cost drivers and implement corrective actions to enhance profitability
  • Balance growth, quality, risk, and financial performance


Systems & Process Implementation

  • Lead implementation and optimization of MRP systems
  • Deploy shop floor control systems to improve visibility, throughput, and labor utilization
  • Drive disciplined production planning and execution processes


Automation Strategy

  • Identify and execute automation opportunities to reduce manual labor
  • Develop and manage a three-year automation roadmap with clear ROI
  • Oversee capital investments, vendor selection, and implementation
  • Integrate automation with enterprise systems


International Operations Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight of international operations, including a China-based subsidiary
  • Drive expansion strategy, workforce planning, and operational maturity
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards


Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead teams through transformation, systems adoption, and workforce optimization
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Develop strong operational leadership across global teams


Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Oversee procurement, vendor management, and global logistics
  • Optimize inventory, sourcing strategies, and material flow
  • Mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring reliable delivery


Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure consistent product quality across all operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, R&D, Sales, and Finance teams
  • Align operations with product development and commercial strategies

Financial Management & Governance

  • Develop and manage operating budgets and capital plans
  • Report operational performance to executive leadership and board stakeholders

Profile

A successful Global Director of Operations should have:

  • 15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Proven success improving operating margins
  • Experience implementing MRP systems and shop floor control systems
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation initiatives
  • Experience leading teams of 50+ employees, including international operations
  • Strong financial, budgeting, and capital investment expertise
  • Experience overseeing operations in China or similar global markets
