The Protective Services Global Event team is responsible security support to events and executives globally. This position focuses on the safety, security, and privacy of our customers, vendors, and associates while ensuring business continuity at company events worldwide. This is a fast-paced, highly dynamic, and mobile team that partners with many Amazon teams globally. Domestic and international travel is extensive.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and manage customized security plans for events worldwide
  • Develop and manage security for VIPs at specialized and sensitive events
  • Conduct pre-event site assessments when necessary
  • Manage proprietary and contract security personnel, law enforcement operations, and medical personnel as part of the overall security plan
  • Provide security briefings to all levels of customers and partners, including senior leadership
  • Prepare and manage security operating budgets on a case-by-case basis
  • Support event, marketing, and public relations departments while maintaining security standards
  • Work closely with senior-level internal partners and serve as a representative for security guidance during planning meetings
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of a development planning process through structured education and mentoring
  • Provide support and assistance to other teams within Protective Services and other business units on an as-needed basis
  • Partner with business teams to develop and implement KPIs, establish strategic roadmaps, and complete projects including drafting, editing, and revising reports, location assessments, and analytical white papers
