Job Description:
This position will be responsible for further developing, generating, and increasing global partnerships, specifically within the Austin Market and Internationally for the San Antonio Spurs, as well as the Austin Spurs, San Antonio FC, and Frost Bank Center, with a strong focus on purpose-built partnerships and a consultative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and secure new corporate partnership revenue within the Austin market and targeted international markets (Latin America and Europe)
- Cultivate long-term strategic business relationships
- Execute disciplined outbound sales strategies, including prospecting, networking, lead generation, CRM pipeline management, and data-driven outreach to drive consistent new business development
- Identify and assess prospect objectives, market positioning, and brand alignment, and develop customized integrated partnership proposals leveraging SS&E intellectual property, digital social platforms, broadcast signage, experiential assets, and promotional channels
- Own the full sales cycle from prospect identification through contract execution, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and long-term partnership sustainability
Collaboration and Development:
- Collaborate with the Strategic Growth and Business Development teams to refine emerging market strategies, share best practices, and contribute to scalable processes that increase the quality and volume of new partnerships
- Develop and attain personal strategies, training, and procedures to achieve revenue goals by driving prospect alignment and engagement, utilizing team IP, digital social channels, promotional platforms, signage, and broadcast for all SS&E Properties
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 4-6 years of progressive experience in sponsorship sales, media sales, business development, or partnership strategy, preferably within sports entertainment or a related industry
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business revenue through consultative selling, strategic prospecting, and relationship cultivation
- Strong understanding of integrated sponsorship assets, including digital media, social platforms, broadcast signage, experiential marketing, and data-driven activations
- Experience building partnerships in emerging or non-traditional markets is preferred; international business exposure is a plus
- Ability to analyze prospect objectives and translate them into strategic long-term partnership solutions
- Fluency in Spanish or experience working in Latin American markets preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Constant use of computer and standard office software
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support prospecting efforts, industry events, partner meetings, and market development initiatives
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays to support partnership activations, networking events, or key deadlines
