SUMMARY:
The Global Product Analyst (GPA) is accountable for supporting the Global Product Managers in improving global product platform profitability. They will support the GPMs in developing product line strategies, management product lifecycles, and product pricing. The GPAs will work closely with Sales, Technology, and Operations on product line optimization and complexity reduction. GPAs will manage the day-to-day tasks associated with new product developments, produce improvements, pricing, manufacturing location changes, capacity management, product recommendations, product sales support, and product rationalization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase product platform profitability, establish minimum pricing guidelines by application.
- Actively manage product lifecycles from creation through obsolescence
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Sales teams to drive sales and business development.
- Partner with Product Marketing to develop benchmarking data and clarify value propositions.
- Manage new product development efforts and engineering change requests.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Technology, and Operations for new product launches.
- Support the GPM in developing Multi-Generational Product Plan strategies for product platforms.
- Support Operations in capacity management and strategic expansion projects.
- Maintain product literature (TDS, benchmarking) and provide source data for marketing communications and tradeshows.
- Keep current with applicable regulations and standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial marketing, sales, product management or product development
- Minimum of a BA or a BS (preferably in a technical discipline)
- Experience in filtration/separation is strongly preferred.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
- Pricing, segmentation, product positioning, marketing communication, and strategy development
- Sales and negotiation skills
- Financial analytics and development of business cases for justification of investments
- Superior written & verbal communication and presentation skills
- Product costing and project management skills
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Up to 15% travel
- Schedule flexibility for periodic calls with global team members in other time zones
