The role reports to the Franchise Head of Weight Management in late CVRM and is placed at one of our dynamic R&D sites in Boston, Seaport Boulevard, MA, Gaithersburg, MD or Gothenburg, Sweden.
About the Role
As a Global Product Leader (GPL) in the weight management franchise, you will play a pivotal leadership role with accountabilities critical to delivering AstraZeneca's business objectives and portfolio value targets. You'll be responsible for crafting and executing a successful strategy for late-stage weight management projects, aligned with the overall franchise strategy throughout the asset lifecycle. In this role, you'll lead a cross-functional Global Product Team
(GPT) focusing on the development and delivery of innovative medicines for people living with obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions.
This position calls for a forward-thinking leader who can adeptly manage an increased pipeline, incorporate AI innovations, and foster speed and communication skills within the team. As part of the newly formed weight management franchise, you will oversee this GPT, identifying risks and opportunities to report to the franchise head.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $251,610.40 - $377,415.60 USD. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
