Global Supply Chain Supervisor

Position Summary

The Global Supply Chain Supervisor oversees daily supply chain activities and leads a team of hourly employees supporting manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and workforce performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of union-represented employees within supply chain and material operations.
  • Monitor material movement and inventory transactions through SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Coordinate production requirements and material availability to ensure schedules are achieved.
  • Manage the timely flow of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished products throughout the operation.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Track and maintain key operational data, including inventory accuracy, productivity metrics, and performance measurements.
  • Partner with internal departments and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor agreements and company policies.
  • Support cost-control initiatives and achieve departmental budget objectives.
  • Drive adherence to quality standards and utilize problem-solving tools when required.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management for team members.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and address attendance, conduct, and disciplinary matters as needed.
  • Manage workforce scheduling and overtime assignments in accordance with contractual guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Education

Required

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • APICS CPIM certification or similar professional credential.
  • Previous leadership experience is not required; candidates with demonstrated leadership potential will be considered.

Preferred

  • One or more years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or material handling operations.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
