Microsoft's Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsofts over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.

The Cloud Sourcing, Security and Sustainability (CS3) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Responsibilities

• Partner with 3PLs and system integrators to ensure on-time material availability for silicon hub operations.
• Monitor inventory exposure, supplier lead times, and delivery performance; drive corrective action to close gaps.
• Resolve supply and logistics issues across Tier-2 suppliers and hub providers, escalating with data.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards for silicon hub operations.
• Mitigate supply risk using ERP/MRP systems (Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP, Oracle) for demand/supply analysis.
• Own continuous improvement initiatives for the silicon hub portfolio, identifying high-impact opportunities in cycle time, inventory turns, on-time delivery, cost-to-serve, exception rate, and process defects.
• Establish baselines for current-state performance, define target-state metrics, and quantify business value pre- and post-improvement.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen methods such as VSM, DMAIC, A3, root-cause analysis, poka-yoke, and standard work to hub processes.
• Institutionalize gains through updated standard work, control plans, tier meetings, and supplier scorecards.
• Lead cross-functional projects end-to-end, including scope, schedules, risks, budgets, and stakeholder management.
• Drive initiatives like new hub/onboarding, capacity expansion, system integrations, and new-platform ramps in collaboration with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools or related experience
• OR Masters Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools or related experience
• OR equivalent experience.

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) with proven delivery of DMAIC/Kaizen initiatives.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Expertise with Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP, or Oracle for supply chain operations.
• Experience with onboarding new 3PLs or managing hub sites and system-migration programs.
• Advanced proficiency in data storytelling using Power BI, SQL, or Excel.
• Change management certification or experience in driving adoption across external operational teams.

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
