C. Harper Chevrolet / Cadillac is looking for an experienced GM Certified Master Technician to join our high-volume service operation in Belle Vernon.

This is not an entry-level technician position.

We're looking for an accomplished GM professional with the training, certifications and diagnostic ability to handle the most challenging vehicles and repair concerns that come through the shop.

If you're a GM Certified Master Technician with 5+ years of professional experience, your skills are in demand.

C. Harper is prepared to pay for that experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform advanced diagnosis and repair of GM vehicles

• Diagnose complex electrical and electronic concerns

• Perform advanced engine and drivability diagnostics

• Diagnose and repair transmission concerns

• Perform complex engine repairs

• Diagnose steering and suspension systems

• Diagnose and repair braking systems

• Service HVAC and climate-control systems

• Diagnose fuel and emissions systems

• Perform advanced network and module diagnostics

• Utilize GM diagnostic equipment and special tools

• Interpret scan data and manufacturer technical information

• Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately

• Perform manufacturer warranty repairs

• Perform customer-pay repairs

• Test-drive vehicles to verify customer concerns

• Verify completed repairs

• Communicate additional repair needs with Service Advisors

• Provide accurate labor-time estimates

• Properly document warranty and customer-pay repairs

• Assist with difficult diagnostic cases

• Support and mentor developing technicians when needed

• Maintain a clean, professional and safe work environment

• Remain current with GM technology and manufacturer repair procedures

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• GM Certified Master Technician strongly preferred

• 5+ years of professional Automotive Technician experience

• Extensive GM vehicle experience

• Advanced diagnostic capabilities

• Advanced electrical diagnostic abilities

• Engine performance and drivability expertise

• Strong mechanical repair abilities

• Experience with GM diagnostic software and special tools

• Ability to diagnose complicated and intermittent concerns

• Ability to perform complex repairs efficiently

• Pennsylvania State Inspection License required

• Pennsylvania Emissions License required

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• ASE certifications preferred

• Hybrid and EV experience highly desirable

• Strong computer and dealership software skills

• Excellent documentation habits

• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional service team
