Position Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day support to Southern IL University School of Medicine's graduate medical education program and serve as Memorial Medical Center's liaison with resident physicians. Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree in business or related field required. A high school diploma coupled with two to three years experience in residency coordination or similar experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary MMC contact for program directors and residents of the Graduate Medical Education program through SIU School of Medicine. Develops the procedures and mechanisms to support the Residency Program, including coordinating the MMC portion of the annual resident orientation (i.e. training, coordinating speakers, etc.). Works with Human Resources on preparation for orientation, such as ensuring residents are clear to start, obtaining benefits packages, etc. Maintains resident files, credentialing, contract information, etc. Maintains a collegial working relationship with the Office of Residency Affairs at SIU School of Medicine. Collects and interprets resident survey feedback. Shares feedback with leaders and makes recommendations on how to address/resolve any issues noted. Provides support to residents (i.e. distribution of pagers, assistance with call rooms, providing call schedules to units, etc.) on a day-to day basis. Responsible for the organization and coordination of work to meet the needs of the Vice President, Clinical Integration and Administrator, Clinical Integration and Care Coordination. This includes:
Provide support to the Medical Staff Office to ensure effective coordination of medical staff department/committee meetings (i.e., meeting agenda/material, notices, and minutes) as assigned. Responsible for the transcription of medical staff documents as directed. Responsible for the maintenance and distribution of departmental call schedules as directed by the applicable Medical Staff Department Chairs. Maintain proficiency in the use and understanding of Microsoft office programs to ensure efficient operation in support of the administrative team. Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all correspondence and job related activities. Maintain a commitment to the MHS mission, vision, values, goals and behavioral standards. Other duties as assigned.
