JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The GME Lead Program Manager oversees the day-to-day management of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) training program at the UT College of Medicine Chattanooga. This position ensures compliance with the non-clinical ACGME accreditation requirements, American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) requirements, and state and federal regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field of study. (Master's Degree preferred). (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years' experience in administration or customer service; OR combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work with physicians and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and be able to take initiative to manage all GME program issues.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may be occasionally required to work evenings and weekends. May require occasional overnight travel.

  • Tracks compliance with all non-clinical accreditation requirements for the GME training program.
  • Serves as liaison between the GME Programs, hospitals, and ACGME, and the public.
  • Works in collaboration with the Accreditation Specialist and DIO to ensure college and program compliance with revised ACGME Institutional, Common Program, and specialty specific program requirements.
  • Ensures all programs correctly register in the NRMP/ERAS systems annually to facilitate web-based recruiting processes.
  • Ensures individual rank lists are submitted and certified by deadlines.
  • Guides Program Coordinators to utilize evaluations and in-training exam performance to measure academic performance.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of policies and procedures governing each program.
  • Collects and documents program recommendations of each reside/fellow for promotion and graduation.
  • Performs other duties as required.
