Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with participation in an on-call rotation.

Step into a role where your expertise keeps medical-grade device manufacturing stable, compliant, and productive. As the go-to HVAC technician on the Facilities team, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and operate complex commercial and industrial HVAC systems, leveraging Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure precise environmental control within GMP spaces. Experience with pharmaceutical water purification systems is a strong plus.

A day in the life

• Start by reviewing BMS trends and alarms to confirm temperature, humidity, and pressure are within specification for GMP areas.
• Execute preventive maintenance on air handlers, exhaust systems, chillers, pumps, boilers, cooling towers, VAVs, and related mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues spanning mechanical, electrical, and control systems, minimizing impact to production.
• Conduct system inspections and log all activities and findings in the CMMS with complete, accurate documentation.
• Respond quickly to equipment alarms, providing after-hours support as part of the on-call rotation when needed.
• Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance to sustain environmental conditions required for GMP manufacturing.
• Work safely and in full alignment with company safety policies and regulatory expectations.

Minimum qualifications

• At least 3 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Proficient troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Self-directed performer who can work with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.

Preferred background

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food manufacturing, or other regulated industrial settings.
• Exposure to pharmaceutical water purification systems (RO, DI, WFI, or related) is a strong plus.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Experience with pneumatic and DDC controls.
• Familiarity with CMMS software.
• Technical degree in HVAC, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
