Job Description
The GMP Scientist I / GMP Operations Technician I supports all aspects of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and production within a Clinical Manufacturing facility. In close collaboration with GMP Operations leadership and production staff, this role provides hands-on support for day-to-day GMP and Viral Vector Core manufacturing activities, including execution of production processes, documentation, and facility and equipment maintenance. The position focuses on cell-based manufacturing in a GMP environment, ensuring that all biological products are produced in a timely, compliant, and cost-effective manner by following batch records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is not a research-based role and is ideal for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the scientific and manufacturing field.

Work Environment
The work environment is a highly collaborative, team-oriented Clinical Manufacturing facility with a diverse group of professionals who are continuing to grow and expand operations. The organization is moving into a new, state-of-the-art facility and operates in a start-up phase with strong institutional backing. Approximately 50-75% of the role involves working in laboratories and clean rooms, performing hands-on cell-based manufacturing in a GMP environment. The remaining time is dedicated to documentation, paperwork, and preparation for subsequent process steps. Team members spend most of the day on their feet and regularly gown up to enter clean rooms, following strict aseptic and GMP protocols. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Dress code consists of casual lab attire, including closed-toe shoes, socks covering the ankles, khaki pants or jeans without holes, and shirts without large graphics, with additional gowning requirements when entering clean rooms.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
