Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 114,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services.We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions to join our team in sunny Dallas, TX.ResponsibilitiesDesign and document model and simulation requirements and architecture.Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as missile 6‑DOF simulations and effects‑based simulations.Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem‑level requirements.Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities.Support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop activities.Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.QualificationsPost‑secondary STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.U.S. citizen with an Interim DoD clearance for start; Secret clearance desired.Experience in weapon system and/or sensor modeling and in simulating synthetic environments.Proficient in C++ and MATLAB; advanced proficiency in MATLAB or Python also acceptable.Strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations.Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real‑time performance requirements and familiarity with Linux and DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines.Experience with Agile development and versions control (Git).Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Desired SkillsActive DoD Secret clearance.Experience with Agile development, Linux environments, and DevOps pipelines.Experience performing guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms.Experience verifying and validating vehicle models and simulations.Experience modeling electro‑optical / infrared and/or radio‑frequency sensor models.Ability to perform pre‑flight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses.Experience with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.Benefits & Work EnvironmentWe are committed to supporting work‑life balance and well‑being, offering flexible scheduling options.
