This role sits at the center of a fast-moving AI company building a new vertical around the collection of high-value historical and professional documents from senior experts across finance, consulting, life sciences, and related fields. The Go-to-Market Lead will own the entire sales function for this vertical from day one, closing deals with PE fund managers, independent consultants, and biotech founders while simultaneously building the playbook, the processes, and the pipeline that will scale the team over time.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with 2 to 4 years of full-cycle sales experience, ideally earned at a high-growth startup, who is just as comfortable sourcing leads and running structured outreach as they are presenting to a senior partner or founder. You bring credibility, persistence, and a genuine excitement about AI, and you thrive in environments where the process does not yet exist and you get to build it.
Key Responsibilities
Own full-cycle sales for the artifact collection vertical, from warming inbound leads through to close with senior decision-makers across finance, consulting, and life sciences
Drive pipeline conversion by following up consistently, keeping prospects engaged across a short sales cycle, and managing deals in the $10,000 to $50,000 average range
Build the sales playbook from scratch, including qualification criteria, outreach sequences, CRM hygiene practices, and partner-facing collateral designed to scale
Run structured experiments on channels, messaging, pricing, and incentives, and use data to identify what works across multiple verticals
Communicate clearly and credibly with partners about data confidentiality, anonymization, and redaction processes, building trust with senior professionals who require discretion
Map new verticals by identifying who holds high-value artifacts, understanding their motivations, and determining what it takes to move a deal forward in each new context
Feed supply-side insights back to research, operations, and product teams so the organization collects data that meaningfully improves frontier AI models
Required Skills & Experience
2 to 4 years of experience in a commercial role such as sales, business development, or partnerships
Demonstrated full-cycle sales experience with a track record of closing deals in the $10,000 to $50,000 range
Experience selling to senior decision-makers including executives, partners, and founders
Proficiency with lead generation tools such as Clay, Hunter.io, Prospero, or similar, as well as CRM systems
Experience building or materially shaping a sales process in an unstructured or early-stage environment
Ability to project trustworthiness and credibility with senior professionals who handle sensitive materials
Relentless follow-through; comfortable navigating stalled deals and rejection without losing momentum
Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City; role is fully on-site
Preferred Skills
Background working with or selling into finance verticals, particularly with PE fund managers or around due diligence documentation
Prior experience at a high-growth startup
Genuine enthusiasm for AI and a desire to be close to frontier model development
Openness to visa transfer arrangements such as OPT or H-1B transfers is supported
