Qualifications & Technical Requirements
Core Requirements
· Professional Longevity: Minimum of 6-7+ years of software engineering experience developing and deploying enterprise-grade distributed applications.
· Polyglot Fluency: Strong, dual-language proficiency across both Go (Golang) and Java.
· Authentication Security: Hands-on experience implementing JSON Web Token (JWT) infrastructure, API security guardrails, and distributed systems integration.
· Location Restriction: The client is strictly requesting local Phoenix, AZ profiles only. Non-local profiles will not be reviewed. Candidates must be ready to operate onsite from Day 1.

Key Responsibilities
· Backend Engineering & API Design: Design, develop, and support comprehensive backend microservices using Go (Golang) and Java to manage high-volume transactional application workloads.
· Ecosystem Integration & Security: Integrate cloud applications with core Java-based web services, establishing secure connections via JWT-based authentication and authorization patterns.
· Frontend Component Development: Build, refine, and maintain client-side web application components using JavaScript.
· Database Optimization: Design, structure, and optimize data models and complex queries across both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Couchbase) database platforms.
· CI/CD & DevOps Governance: Contribute directly to automated deployment processes and continuous integration pipelines (CI/CD) to ensure rapid, secure product releases.
· Production Observability & Triage: Troubleshoot complex production issues, implementing sweeping code improvements focused on execution speed, application reliability, and data security.
· Agile Collaboration & Architecture: Partner with product managers, system architects, and cross-functional engineering pods to document technical designs, conduct peer code reviews, and deliver scalable enterprise software.

This role is designed for a versatile backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs supporting high-volume financial application frameworks.
The successful candidate will bridge modern Go infrastructure with existing Java-based ecosystems, optimize distributed NoSQL and relational data platforms, and implement secure token-based authentication workflows.
