Location: Richmond, VA (Preferred) / McLean, VA

Introduction

Our client is seeking a talented Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Golang development to join their team. The role involves leading the development of robust applications and solutions in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Full Stack/Backend Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang  (Primary Skill)
• Extensive experience with AWS Lambda and Step Functions
• Experience building serverless data pipelines
• Strong AWS cloud experience
• Experience with Docker and CloudFormation
• Familiarity with Postgres and/or Snowflake
• Experience working in large-scale distributed or big data environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• AWS IAM domain knowledge
• Previous experience with the client is required
• AWS Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Developer Associate are preferred but not mandatory

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Golang 
• Build and maintain AWS serverless pipelines using Lambda and Step Functions
• Support cloud compliance and IAM-related initiatives across enterprise AWS environments
• Work on orchestration and execution pipelines processing millions of compliance findings daily
• Collaborate with a team of engineers in an Agile/Jira-driven environment
• Contribute to scalable cloud monitoring and compliance platforms
• Work with Postgres and Snowflake databases as needed
• Utilize Docker and CloudFormation within the development environment
