Description

General Description:

The purpose of this class within the organization is to ensure all guests of the Dogwood Trace Golf Shop are greeted in a friendly manner and are provided courteous service. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.

Essential Functions

Essential Functions:

Establishes excellent customer relations and ensures the highest quality of customer service to the golfing public.

Enforces all rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf carts and other golf facilities.

Maintains product levels on the sales floor and organizes displays.

Answers phones and sets schedules for tee time and assigns equipment.

Oversees online social media.

Additional Duties:

Maintains and cleans building.

Performs related work as assigned.

Impact of errors refers to consequences such as damage to equipment and property, loss of data, exposure of the organization to legal liability, and injury or death for individuals.

The impact of errors is minor - affects only those in immediate work area.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Equipment Usage:

Equipment usage involves responsibility for materials, machines, tools, equipment, work aids, and products.

Handles or uses computers, tools, golf ball pickers or work aids involving little or no latitude for judgment regarding attainment of a standard or in selecting appropriate items.

Unavoidable Hazards:

Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.

Bright/dim light; dusts and pollen extreme heat and/or cold; wet or humid conditions; extreme noise levels, animals/wildlife vibration; fumes and/or noxious odors traffic; moving machinery.

Safety of Others:

Safety of others refers to the level of responsibility for the safety of others, either inherent in the job or to ensure the safety of the general public.

Requires no responsibility for the safety and health of others.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.

Requires some retail and public contact experience preferred.

An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work.

Final applicants will be required to submit to a criminal history investigation and submit to urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.

Employees in this position are subject to random drug testing.
