Join the team at Lake Almanor Country Club as a Golf Shop Attendant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our members and guests. This position offers a dynamic environment that combines customer service, golf course assistance, and retail responsibilities, providing a rewarding experience for those passionate about golf and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop
- Open and close the golf shop as scheduled
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pro shop
- Assist with merchandising and inventory organization
- Answer phone calls and book tee times
- Check in golfers, process payments, and manage daily sales
- Reconcile cash register sales and daily reports
- Assist the Golf Shop Manager with golf tournaments and special events
- Support outside services including:
- Maintaining the cart fleet
- Cleaning and organizing golf balls
- Maintaining the driving range, practice tees, putting green, and short game areas
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or golf course operations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of golf equipment and terminology is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work outdoors and adapt to varying weather conditions
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed
