GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This position performs all duties and tasks that assists members and guests with: tee times (reservations and check-in), merchandise, and information while providing unparalleled professional customer service.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  •          Computer knowledge/usage
  •         Excellent customer service skills
  •          Some knowledge of the game of golf is expected

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Offer friendly and professional customer service to all public patrons, members and guests
  • Use the point of sale and Tee Sheet system to: check-in golfers, sell merchandise and make/check tee times
  • Ensure that financial controls are followed and accounted for at the close of each shift
  • Assist in tournament, event and outing preparations
  • Assist with inventory operations: checking-in, displaying and counting
  • Communicate with starters, course assistants and player services to create an exceptional guest/member experience
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
  • Be informed on Inn and Suite procedures, and promote all public and member events, activities and services
  • Uphold the company’s policies and procedures when dealing with customers and members

          ·         Perform any and all duties assigned by the Resort Head Professional

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by the director based upon departmental and hotel needs.

            ·         Communicating pertinent information with all departments in a timely manner

            ·         Assisting professionals, player services and assistants with operations when necessary

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

            ·         Interact verbally with guests, members and staff

            ·         Answering phone calls and questions

            ·         Occasional lifting

            ·         Standing for extended periods of time
