GOS Senior Client Accountant – Cushman & WakefieldJob Description SummaryThe Senior Accountant provides oversight and direction regarding the primary accounting, bill payment/processing, financial support, and as needed, administrative/clerical support for the Financial Manager and Property/Facility Managers. The role maintains and updates financial records using databases, spreadsheets, and accounting systems tracking expenditures, revenue, receipts, cash flow, and other financial activities. The position requires high discretion and independent judgment, typically supervising and directing Accounting Coordinators and Accountants, and may serve as an internal consultant on finance, accounting, tax, and billing matters.ResponsibilitiesOversee preparation of invoices for entry into the accounting system, monitor information entry, verify invoice accuracy, coding and data entry prior to submission to property management, and manage associated record keeping.Develop and maintain records of financial transactions, verify, allocate, and oversee posting of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts.Oversee preparation and submission of documentation for expense reports and variance processes, obtaining necessary approvals and checking for accuracy and adherence to established procedures and policies.Prepare and compile reports and analysis to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to business operations. Maintain, update and summarize applicable ledgers and computer files/reports.Supervise Accountants and Accounting Coordinators.Possibly assigned to accounts payable or receivable; oversee billing/invoicing, cash receipts, data entry, budgeting, expenses, sales receipts, vendor service contracts, timesheets, payroll, and other administrative and clerical duties.May be responsible for oversight of other accounting, reporting and record‑keeping functions as assigned.Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this role is $63,750.00 – $75,000.00, depending on union coverage, geographic location, market rates and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
