    Description

    FGS Global, a leading strategic communications and government relations consulting firm, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented junior professional. This position will be based in our Washington, D.C. office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Administrative support for Partners in Government Affairs, including:

    • Coordinate internal and external meeting scheduling
    • Take notes during client and internal meetings
    • Coordinate and handle travel

    Support general client work and new business efforts, including:

    • Prep for regular client and internal meetings and draft agendas to guide those meetings
    • Assist in drafting FGS proposals and decks
    • Research for documents and meeting preparation
    • Draft memos and letters for clients
    • Draft weekly or biweekly newsletters for clients
    • Cover hearings, note key developments in real time and complete write ups
    • Track key issues and developments for clients in real time

    Key issue areas include:

    • Provider/Payer issues
    • Public health
    • Medical device issues
    • Health care appropriations
    • Health care technology
    • Women’s health care and related issues

     

    ATTRIBUTES

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Demonstrated interest in health care policy
    • Previous internship experience in government affairs/communications field is desirable
    • Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
    • Ability to become a strong communicator and analytical thinker
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Genuine interest in policy and politics generally

    District of Columbia Salary Range

    $65,000 - $65,000USD
