    Pay: $238,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year

    Location: Hybrid position based in Washington, DC, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with our team while maintaining flexibility. Exceptional candidates outside the immediate area may also be considered.

    Important: Candidates must have 6+ years of government contracts law experience, significant bid protest experience, and experience with either (1) Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs), Contract Disputes Act (CDA) claims and appeals, or (2) at least two federal SBA small business programs, such as 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, or HUBZone. Candidates must also be admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for prompt admission. A writing sample of 5 pages or fewer and law school transcript are required with submission.

    Job Description

    • Represent government contractors in bid protests before the GAO, Court of Federal Claims, and other forums.
    • Advise clients on federal procurement laws, regulations, and compliance matters.
    • Handle Requests for Equitable Adjustment, Contract Disputes Act claims and appeals, and contract performance issues.
    • Draft and negotiate teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, and related government contracts documents.
    • Counsel clients on FAR compliance, procurement regulations, and risk management strategies.
    • Assist with investigations involving procurement matters and the False Claims Act.
    • Advise clients on federal small business programs, including 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, and HUBZone issues.
    • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to provide strategic legal solutions for government contractors.
    • Manage sophisticated matters with increasing autonomy and direct client interaction.

    Qualifications

    • JD from an accredited law school.
    • Active DC Bar admission or eligibility for prompt DC admission.
    • 6+ years of government contracts law experience — required.
    • Significant bid protest experience — required.
    • Experience with either:
    • REAs, CDA claims and appeals; OR
    • At least two federal SBA small business programs, including 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, or HUBZone — required.
    • Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
    • Experience with FAR compliance, teaming agreements, procurement investigations, or related government contracts matters.
    • Ability to independently manage complex legal matters while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
