Compensation

$310,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing government contractors, defense contractors, technology companies, aerospace companies, private equity sponsors, and other sophisticated businesses on complex government contracts and procurement matters.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of government contracts experience gained at a sophisticated law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department

• Experience advising clients regarding federal procurement laws, FAR, DFARS, bid protests, contract administration, and government contracts compliance

• Experience representing government contractors, defense contractors, technology companies, aerospace companies, healthcare contractors, or other federal contractors

• Experience drafting and negotiating prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, joint venture agreements, mentor-protégé agreements, and other procurement-related agreements

• Experience counseling clients regarding claims, disputes, audits, investigations, suspension and debarment, cybersecurity compliance, and procurement regulations

• Experience supporting the government contracts aspects of mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, due diligence, and other strategic transactions is a plus

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
