An institutional investor, fund of funds, placement platform, or asset management firm may seek a GP Relations Officer to support relationships with general partners across private equity, private credit, real assets, and venture capital strategies. The role focuses on GP engagement, diligence coordination, data tracking, and relationship support rather than direct deal execution.
Support ongoing relationships with general partners (GPs) across private market strategies
Coordinate GP communications, meeting schedules, and follow-ups
Collect, organize, and maintain GP materials including pitch decks, DDQs, fund reports, and performance data
Assist with qualitative and quantitative analysis of GP strategies, track records, and fund structures
Support GP due diligence processes, including data room access and information requests
Maintain internal GP databases and CRM systems
Collaborate with investment, research, and portfolio teams to support manager selection workflows
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
Strong communication and relationship management skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
Ability to manage multiple GP relationships and information requests simultaneously
Prior exposure to private markets, asset management, investor relations, or institutional investing is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM or portfolio management tools
