    Description



    Safely operates GPS-equipped dozers to perform precision grading and earthmoving activities in support of Morgan Corp.’s heavy civil construction projects. Works collaboratively with project leadership, survey personnel, and construction crews to ensure grading activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and company standards.


    Key Responsibilities


    Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities
    • Safely operate GPS-equipped dozers to perform precision grading, earthmoving, and site preparation activities. 
    • Utilize GPS machine control systems to achieve required grades and project specifications. 
    • Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and GPS data to ensure accurate grading. 
    • Work collaboratively with Survey Technicians, Foremen, and construction crews to support project schedules and production goals. 
    • Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on assigned equipment. 
    • Maintain assigned equipment in good operating condition and promptly report maintenance needs or equipment deficiencies. 
    • Complete required equipment inspections, production reports, and other project documentation. 
    • Operate equipment safely around personnel, utilities, and other construction equipment. 
    • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific requirements. 
    • Maintain productivity while delivering high-quality grading and earthmoving operations. 
    Additional Duties
    • Maintain assigned equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. 
    • Participate in required safety meetings and training. 
    • Assist with general construction activities as needed. 
    • Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts may be required. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 


    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


    Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating dozers in heavy civil construction preferred. 
    • Experience operating GPS-equipped dozers and machine control systems preferred. 
    • Experience using GPS machine control systems such as Trimble, Topcon, or similar platforms preferred. 
    • Experience reading construction plans, grade stakes, and grading specifications preferred. 
    Other Requirements
    • Valid driver's license required. 
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. 
    • Position must follow Morgan Corp.'s Fit-for-Duty Physical Program. 
    • Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts as project schedules require.
    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental conditions common to heavy civil construction.
    • Strong commitment to Morgan Corp.'s safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. 
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
    • Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing job site conditions and limited supervision.
