GRADES 2/3 TEACHER

ONE YEAR LIMITED TERM

JOB LOCATION: Lebanon Environmental Agricultural Pathways Elementary or LEAP Elementary

CERTIFICATION: Elementary Education 1088 - EC (70) or EC-MC (71)

CONTRACT PERCENT: 100% - One year limited term

START DATE: August 24, 2026 (new teacher orientation is August 17-20, 2026)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Qualified candidates should possess:

• The qualified applicant will value the importance of environmental and agricultural education and the integral part it plays in student learning. Applicants who have an expertise in environmental education and a commitment to outdoor education and project-based learning are preferred
• Passion to teach elementary school students;
• Student-centered focus;
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of student learning needs and styles;
• Ability to provide data-driven instruction in line with District curriculum and standards;
• Willingness to collaborate for student success with colleagues;
• Ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff;
• Experience in the multi-grade classroom preferred;
• Strong training in the teaching of reading and mathematics. Experience with Bridges Math and HMH curriculum beneficial.
• Willingness to work closely with a team in a Professional Learning Community (PLC).

The Watertown School District has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students taught in seven buildings. Lebanon Elementary School - LEAP is a rural 2-5 school with an enrollment of 30 students, served by 2 teachers.

THE COMMUNITY: The Watertown community has 24,000 residents and is located on the Rock River approximately halfway between Madison and Milwaukee, at the junction of Highways 16, 19, and 26.
