Description

Shepherd of the Hills Catholic School is seeking a teacher for a combined Grade 4 and 5 class for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate is an effective and confident instructor with strong classroom management skills and proficiently communicates with colleagues and families.

This teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee curriculum and grade-level standards.

  • Provide instruction in religion, ELA, math, science, social studies, and other assigned subjects.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote student success.

  • Establish clear expectations and effective classroom management practices.

  • Encourage healthy social relationships and emotional growth.

  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.

  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons and classroom activities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support the overall development of the students.

  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to promote continuous improvement.

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

  • Serve as a positive Catholic role model for students and families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Education is required.
  • Valid teaching certification or credential.
  • Experience teaching in a Catholic school environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the school community.

The candidate must fulfill other responsibilities supporting the school''s improvement plan and mission statement as required.
