Cathedral School is a WRISA-accredited Catholic school serving students in Preschool through Grade 8 in Superior, Wisconsin. We are seeking a qualified and faith-filled educator to join our faculty as a part-time Grade 5-8 Band Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
The ideal candidate is passionate about music education, committed to developing students'' musical skills and appreciation for instrumental performance, and dedicated to integrating Catholic values into the educational experience. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of instructional best practices, provide engaging and standards-based music instruction, and differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs and abilities of student musicians.
Responsibilities include:
Plan and deliver engaging band instruction aligned with diocesan curriculum standards.
Teach fundamental and advanced instrumental techniques, music literacy, ensemble performance, and musicianship.
Prepare students for concerts, liturgical celebrations, and other school performances.
Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support musical growth and achievement.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined rehearsal environment that promotes teamwork, responsibility, and a love of music.
Coordinate the selection, care, and inventory of school-owned instruments and music resources.
Uphold the dignity of every student in accordance with Catholic teachings.
Support and model Catholic values through daily interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the mission and goals of the school community.
