Job Summary

The Grader Labor team member is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and grading poultry products to ensure they meet Tyson Foods' quality, safety, and customer specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality by identifying defects, removing non-conforming product, and ensuring only acceptable product continues through the production process. Team members must work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all food safety and company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect poultry products for quality defects, discoloration, bruising, contamination, or other non-conforming conditions.
  • Sort and grade products according to established quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Remove defective or damaged product from the production line.
  • Maintain consistent production flow while meeting quality expectations.
  • Follow all USDA, food safety, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Communicate quality concerns and production issues to supervisors and quality assurance personnel.
  • Assist with line setup, product handling, and housekeeping activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with plant sanitation standards.
  • Adhere to Tyson Foods' animal welfare, safety, and workplace policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
