Grades 5-12 Chorus/General Music Teacher

The Kewaunee School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Choir Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. A current Wisconsin teaching license with certification in Music-Choral (1511) is required for this position. This position is for a 5-12 chorus/general music teacher. Dual certification with instrumental music is strongly encouraged to apply.

The selected candidate will:

• Have a passion for music education and share that enthusiasm with his/her students.
• Be a collaborative educator and be able to develop positive relationships with students, staff and community members.
• Demonstrate expertise in current music education teaching methods, differentiation, and use of technology to motivate and challenge students.
• Possess strong classroom management skills and be able to develop rapport with a wide range of students.
• Integrate other subject areas (i.e. math, writing, history) into his/her teaching.
• Able to teach ensembles, small group lessons, etc. in collaboration with other music staff.
• Responsibilities will also include planning and conducting several performances throughout the year to showcase student talents and skills.
