The School District of Wild Rose, located in Central Wisconsin, is seeking a progressive forward-thinking individual that is looking for a quality school district, one with high expectations for education; the joys and challenges of a smaller rural district; and the opportunity to work with a team of staff and administrators focused on continual improvement of student learning.

The School District of Wild Rose is searching to fill a 1.0 FTE Instructor: Grades 6-12 Choral & General Music Teacher starting with the 2026-2027 school year.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administration and hold a DPI license #1511 (Music-Choral) & #1515 (Music-General)

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Teach MS & HS Choir, 7th & 8th Grade General Music (Guitar & Piano)
  • Ability to collaborate with grade-level and curricular teams around student learning
  • Understanding and preference of working with middle & high school students
  • Encourage students and organize participation in Solo & Ensemble Music Festivals
  • Ability to create a meaningful and student-centered learning environment
  • Understanding and proficiency in Google Classroom and virtual learning tools
  • Ability to adapt the curriculum based on student proficiency and mastery
  • Ability to use data to drive decision-making in the classroom and beyond
  • Understanding of assessment for learning
  • Provides instructional support and assessment for students who are above & below grade level
  • Works collaboratively in a team approach and utilize differentiated learning to meet the needs of students

This vacancy will start with the 2026-2027 school year.

Advisory positions in Co-Curricular and other coaching and advisory roles may also be available, including Director of the School Musical.

Preference to candidates who hold a Choral Music License OR meet WI DPI eligibility requirements to obtain a Choral Music license as required by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

Wild Rose has a 4K-12 student enrollment of about 575. We have one elementary school and one middle/high school (grades 6-12).

School Location/Setting

The School District of Wild Rose is a small rural school district in central Wisconsin, located in Waushara County. There are currently 575 students enrolled in the School District of Wild Rose. We are 98 miles north of Madison, WI, and 39 miles southeast of Stevens Point, WI. The communities of Wild Rose, Saxeville, Mt. Morris, Pine River, and West Bloomfield and the surrounding rural areas of these communities make up our district. The district function hosts 4K/EC through 12th grade in two buildings (Wild Rose Elementary and the Middle/High School).
