The Department of Educational Policy and Leadership is looking to hire one part-time adjunct instructor/lecturer to teach a hybrid section of EDPL 6230: Catholic School Leaders Development Program, which will be offered in Fall 2026 (8/24/2026 - 12/19/2026).

Course Description: EDPL 6230 serves aspiring Catholic school leaders to animate Catholic culture in their schools and help them transform communities through the values of Catholic education.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Department Chair and Director of Graduate Studies for Educational Leadership, the instructor will perform the following duties:

  1. Plan and teach classes

  2. Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and College of Education program evaluation system

  3. Maintain and submit accurate and current records concerning student accountability, attendance, and performance

  4. Maintain a student-oriented approach to education

  5. Provide opportunities for individual consultation and feedback for students in the course

  6. Provide frequent communication with students on their progress in the course

  7. Uphold professional and ethical standards and adhere to University policies and procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • PhD highly preferred or Master's degree and substantial experience in Catholic education
  • Excellent oral and written communication and proficiency
  • Knowledge of research methods and educational contexts
