Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the EDEF Department Chair and Graduate Chair:
Assist in organizing departmental events (information sessions, online social events, monthly talks, new student orientation, beginning- and end-of-year departmental events)
Produce and maintain digital content (EDEF website, EDEF newsletter, articles about EDEF events for website/COE newsletter, course and event flyers, student handbooks)
Prepare for, and assist with, EDEF summer programs (MEd in Private School Leadership; study abroad programs to Barcelona and potentially elsewhere)
Help manage student inquiry response system
Support online MEd and online doctoral programs
Other administrative and programmatic duties as necessary (e.g., develop proposals for undergraduate focus designations and new certificate programs, serve as liaison with EDEF Grad Student Hui, gather resources for incoming EDEF graduate students)
Minimum Qualifications:
Classified full-time graduate status in good academic standing (3.0 GPA) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Experience with event planning and implementation.
Experience with website maintenance and/or production of digital/online content.
Experience with program development and management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in an office setting 20 hours per week.
Desirable Qualifications:
Spanish language fluency.
Experience with leading study abroad programs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize workload, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a high-paced environment.
Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, initiative, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
Experience working in a postsecondary/university education setting.
