    Position Description

    This graduate assistant position supports the SCALE-UP grant by contributing to essential project activities such as data collection and management, participant recruitment, and assisting with the implementation of the Fraction Face Off (FFO) math intervention in various capacities. Responsibilities may include assisting the Project Site Director in providing support to participating teachers and ensuring accurate, thorough data collection and documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to both instructional excellence and research.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Program Implementation & Monitoring

    • Facilitate and track teacher completion of FFO training.

    • Prepare and manage instructional materials.

    • Collaborate with the Project Site Director to monitor the timely delivery of the intervention and research activities.

    • Provide constructive feedback based on observation data and fidelity measures.

    • Maintain ongoing communication with teachers about fidelity, progress, and study expectations.

    Data Collection, Management & Compliance

    • Coordinate collection and tracking of consents, assents, and pre-/post-assessments for participants (teachers and students).

    • Verify completeness of data and upload securely as required.

    • Record coaching session data in Qualtrics accurately and promptly.

    • Support researchers by facilitating communication with Business As Usual (BAU)-condition teachers, as needed.

    • Other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Classified, full-time (minimum of 6 credits) graduate student in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or above).

    • Basic library research skills.

    • Proficient with basic computer hardware and software, such as Google Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments under general supervision.

    • Ability to work in an office setting 20 hours per week.

    Desirable Qualifications

    • Graduate student in Education or a related major.

    • Experience with instruction or coaching.

    • Experience supporting research projects in Education or a related field.
