Summary of Job Duties:

The Baseball Graduate Assistant will assist the baseball staff in providing ethical leadership in managing all aspects of competitive NCAA Division I Baseball program including, but not limited to, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes and preparing student-athletes for success through practice planning, strategy development, and skill instruction. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
    • Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
    • Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Tracking their student-athletes academic progress;
    • Maintaining appropriate records and paperwork;
    • Ensuring compliance with all University, United Athletic Conference, and NCAA policies, rules, and regulations.
    • Assist with practice planning.

    • Possess excellent written and communication skills;
    • Ability to work with diverse populations of faculty, staff, students, and community members;
    • Maintain an appropriate degree of confidentiality; 
    • Exhibit problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
