Job Summary/Basic Functions

The GA serves as a liaison in various across-campus collaborations, with student-life, first-year courses, or other academic programs. For example, we support The Office of Admissions by hosting students during campus visits, where the GA helps to choreograph student-workers into panels, workshops, and hands-on activities that would make EKU more attractive to potential students. At El Centro, the GA sets the tone to create a cycle of leadership where all EKU students can experience enriching educational opportunities, important career experiences, and mentorship.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications: Applicants must be enrolled as graduate students at EKU.

Preferred Qualifications:

The Graduate Assistant (GA) at The Bobby Verdugo and Yoli Rios Bilingual Peer Mentor and Tutoring Center (El Centro) supports EKU students impacting recruitment and retention across the university. They are a key piece in our innovative approach to providing a relationship rich education experience to all students. Candidates must have experience with cross-campus collaboration through a relationship rich education framework. The ideal candidate will be multilingual, resourceful, and versatile.
