Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) seeks a Facilities and Events Graduate Assistant who will serve under the direction of the Associate AD for Facilities and Events. This position will assist in a number of capacities including game management, set up and breakdowns of athletic facilities, working with on campus and off campus stakeholders and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
  • Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
  • Ability to work required hours (FT – 50% - 20 hours per week) with regular attendance.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations and maintenance of facilities;
  • Assist in event set ups and breakdowns;
  • Support game day operations for all home athletic events; 
  • Support crowd management, event flow, and customer service during athletic events;
  • Compliance with all NCAA, conference and institutional rules;
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of NCAA, conference and University rules;
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University;
  • Ability to complete physical task 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, staff and clients
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Must have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance;
  • Ability to work nights and weekends with extensive travel.
