    Job description

    The Graduate Assistant for the Office of Academic Affairs will provide support and assistance in various administrative and operational tasks related to academic affairs. This role is designed to provide valuable experience and professional development opportunities for a graduate student while contributing to the efficient functioning of academic affairs.

    This position will be 10 hours per week. Days/times are flexible to work with the student's class schedule, however, the student must be able to work during office hours (9:00 am - 6:00 pm). Preference will be given to students able to work in-person but remote work will be considered.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and maintenance of program materials, including program handbooks, curriculum guides, and other academic resources.
    • Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to curriculum mapping and program assessment.
    • Support curriculum committee, interprofessional education, and immersion activities.
    • Contribute to the development and revision of course syllabi, learning objectives, and assessment strategies.
    • Provide administrative assistance to academic affairs staff, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining departmental records.
    • Assist in organizing academic events, such as workshops and conferences.
    • Contribute to special projects or initiatives within the academic affairs as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    1. Must be a currently enrolled graduate student in SPHTM.

    2. Strong organizational and time management skills.

    3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    4. Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

    5. Proficient in using office productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

    6. Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
