Major/Essential Functions
- Completing proper documentation, including evaluation, Audiology reports, precautions, contraindications and placement of an individualized plan of care with functional goals in the patient's medical record within 24hours of initial contact.
- Schedule patients for evaluation and treatment, and enter patient information into the computer system.
- Determines the needs of the patient by assessing and documenting the learning needs of the patient/caregiver and supplies the appropriate instructions to the appropriate learner.
- Assess the need for adaptive equipment, attain an order for it and demonstrate the use of the equipment.
- Plan, coordinate, and provide appropriate habilitative/rehabilitative intervention for the hearing-impaired patient.
- Assess and recommend needs for other services and participate in the telephone calls performed in the discharge process.
- Confer with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient and keep them informed of any additional patient needs, treatment modifications, and/or progress.
- Will have the responsibility of providing audiological care, including the completion of all required paperwork/documentation for patients of the Texas Tech Physicians Department of ENT-Audiology Services under the supervision of a licensed audiologist.
- Conduct diagnostic services, including behavioral and electrophysiologic assessment of hearing, as well as comprehensive balance function testing.
- Participate in treatment services, including the selection, fitting and verification of hearing aid amplification and other assistive and implantable devices.

Visa Information
