Title Graduate Assistant - Procurement Position Description
The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.

Position Reports to: Vice President, Chief Financial Officer/ or his/her designee
Position Purpose
Primary purpose of the Finance Division Graduate Assistant with division activities as determined and directed by the Vice President/ or his/her designee. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant shall assist and work with the Directors of the division as requested. This is a unique opportunity for graduate students interested in gaining valuable business management, accounting, and finance experience in a productive office setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with administrative projects as needed - Assignment examples include but are not limited to:
Assist Budget Office with document management.
Assist Fiscal Affairs with financial audits.
Assist Procurement Services with vendor contract pricing analysis, procurement card audits, procurement card reconciliations, and risk assessments.
Assist Travel Office with hotel prepays and reconciliation of travel commissions.
Any additional duties requested by the Vice President of Finance/ or his/her designee.
Training
Initial training will familiarize you with the various facets of the Finance Division Department objectives and strategies. More in-depth training follows with the reconciliation of accounts, document management, and participation in all phases of an audit that will provide insight into how audits are planned, how risk assessments are performed, and the details of how to execute further audit procedures and document them properly.
