The Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head Coach, primarily with recruiting, organizing and running practices, fundraising, promotional activities, and other related assigned responsibilities. A successful candidate will be a positive role model to our student-athletes on and off the court, exhibit strong leadership, and strive to develop those leadership capabilities within our student-athletes. Responsibilities also include: Monitoring and assisting student-athletes with academic successEffectively recruiting quality student-athletesAssisting the head coach with any/all aspects of the program. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree and acceptance into the Lakeland University graduate school program are required.Experience coaching soccer is required.Must have an acceptable driving record. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESDemonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is requiredDemonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality;Ability to effectively manage time and priorities;Ability to prioritize office workflow and make effective administrative decisions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity;Demonstrated ability to tactfully and effectively communicate (written and verbal) with a variety of individuals;Strong critical thinking skills;Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products;Demonstrates organizational ability, and attention to detail and accuracy;Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment ;Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTModerate physical activity.
