Job Description
Job Description
Position: Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Audiologist to become part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as a component of the VA's disability benefits process. In this role, you will examine the Veteran's medical history, which will be accessible through a secure online portal, prior to administering both the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to assess the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
  • Review and interpret electronic medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Accurately document findings from examinations and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This position does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the Audiologist.

Schedule:
  • Part-Time: 3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday, with 8 or 10-hour shifts).
  • Average caseload: 3-6 Veterans per day.
  • Equipment provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
Qualifications:
  • A compassionate Audiologist with a commitment to serving the Veteran community.
  • Strong analytical abilities for reviewing medical records and assessment data.
  • Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
  • A professional and empathetic approach when interacting with Veterans.
  • Doctorate degree in Audiology from an ASHA Accredited institution.
  • Current Audiologist license.
Benefits:
  • Health insurance and 401K benefits available.
  • Training and ongoing support provided.
Are You:
  • Passionate about serving and supporting Veterans?
  • Seeking a structured role without on-call shifts?
  • Interested in performing focused medical assessments without treatment responsibilities?
