Advertised Job Summary

The Graduate Enrollment Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management in support of graduate recruitment, admissions processing, onboarding, and graduate student engagement activities. This role serves as a key point of contact for prospective and admitted graduate students, ensuring a responsive, professional, and student-centered experience throughout the enrollment process.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in graduate admissions, higher education, or enrollment management.
  • Working knowledge of Slate or comparable CRM/admissions systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate recruitment events, onboarding activities, and student communications.
  • Understanding of academic program processes and student services operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Skilled in customer service, professional communication, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Must be able to collaborate across departments.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, the ability to problem-solve and follow-through, and the ability to be adaptable in a deadline-driven environment.

Application Processing:Monitors applications to identify missing materials, incomplete records, and outstanding requirements. Follows up with applicants to ensure completion of required documentation. Processes completed applications accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinates doctoral interview scheduling and communicates with applicants and program stakeholders regarding application status. Maintains accurate admissions records and supports compliance with established admissions procedures.

Serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students and applicants by phone, email, and other communication channels. Responds to questions regarding admissions requirements, application procedures, deadlines, and program-specific information. Enters and updates leads in Slate and assists with applicant record management. Provides timely, courteous, and accurate information while escalating complex issues as needed.

Helps track recruitment activity, prospect engagement, and follow-up communication.

Assists with orientation planning, the new student checklist, and other onboarding materials or communications. Supports a smooth transition from admission to matriculation.
